DDR5 to provide double the Speed of DDR4

DDR5_RAM
Nothing says new like DDR5 RAM. This is the buzz according to the Joint Electron Device Engineering Council (JEDEC) Solid State Technology Association. The folks at JEDEC are the ones developing DDR5. DDR5 will provide twice the speed and density of DDR4. This faster DDR5 memory will hit the seen in 2018 but you will have to wait. Start saving up for that new motherboard that will support DDR5. This new DDR5 RAM is slated to hit the seen in the early 2019s. This is because DDR5 RAM will first be introduced to server motherboards sometime after 2018 then 12 plus months later they will start showing up in our desktops and laptops.

So, what does this mean for MS Office 365 users, probably nothing. If you're a gamer, graphics multi-media artist, then rise-up! This innovation promises a richer experience for gamers and multi-media artist. I am still hoping that this innovation will get the folks in Microsoft excited and maybe give us something new in Office 365.

I hope the folks in intel and other chip manufactures will be up to the task as JEDC said work on DDR5 is progressing quickly. I will be checking back with JEDEC from time to time to see if they are on track for the 2018 release date of DDR5 RAM.
